Gary’s executive career commenced in Deloitte in 1978; he spent 13 years with Nortel Networks in a variety of roles and geographies concluding as Vice President for Enterprise Networks EMEA and finished his executive career as Group Finance Director for Allied Irish Bank plc.

Gary is currently Chairman of Greencore Group plc, Connect Group plc and Green REIT plc, until its recent sale. He has had extensive experience, previously serving on boards including Elan plc, Allied Irish Bank plc, Friends First Holdings Ltd, IDA Ireland and was a Government appointed Director of IBRC.

Gary is a co-chair of ‘Balance for Better Business’, the Irish Government sponsored gender balance initiative; a founding Chair of the 30% Club in Ireland and is a member of the council of the IOD in Ireland.
